USC Moves Up AP Rankings -- UCLA Should Be Higher

If you're a college football fan, chances are your Labor Day was that much more enjoyable because this past weekend was a great weekend to watch some good games. Around the Los Angeles area, the University of Southern California is one of the more popular teams. In fact, many would argue that they are Los Angeles' lone professional football team since our beloved Raiders left. And that still hurts. A friend of mine and I made the trip up to watch the Raiders play a home game in Oakland last year and had a lot of fun. Of course, it'd be a lot more fun if the United States' second-largest market actually had a professional football team. What's up with that? But back to college football ... USC is great according to my friends and wife who actually like that school. I'm a UCLA fan, so you can imagine the pain and frustration I've felt for the past couple of years while Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart and the others have been running all over my Bruins. And if you're interested, here are the new top ten in college football (UCLA got two votes): UCLA_Helmet
  1. Florida
  2. Texas
  3. USC
  4. Alabama
  5. Oklahoma State
  6. Mississippi
  7. Penn State
  8. Ohio State
  9. Brigham Young
  10. California
