November Events, Wilmington Delaware

Looking for something to do this month of November in Wilmington, Delaware? We've compiled a list for you of some interesting events that are taking place in and around Wilmington. www.SSMovers.com

The Reverend Payton's Big Damn Band is performing at The Grand Opera in Wilmington. They'll be performing in NYC the following day at the lovely Mercury Lounge if you interested in starting a caravan. You might want to get a good night's sleep before hitting the road though. 2 nights of the Reverend can be a lot of action!

If you aren't up for touring with the Reverend, here's something a bit more health and family oriented. The Girls On The Run NCC 5K takes place on Saturday November 13th. Get there around 8:15 or 8:20 AM because it starts at 9AM and my guess is its gonna be packed. Dravo Plaza at the Shipyard Shoppes Wilmington, New Castle County. Girls on the Run is a program designed to inspire and empower young girls to live healthy, productive lives. Keep in mind there is running involved, so your girls have a couple of days left to train. And you might be able to take advantage of all those sponsor give-a-ways.... Go get 'em tigress!

Rain, formerly Reign, will be starting their nationwide tour “A Tribute to The Beatles” in Wilmington and ending in LA. The Beatles' last concert performance was in 1966. If you missed it, here's your chance to almost see them live. Rain has spent 4 decades perfecting the art of the Beatles performance. Promises to have great costumes and a flashback to the rockin’ 70’s. Performance will take place the Dupont Theater.

Something for the Artiste Noire in you… The Delaware Art Museum is exhibiting the works of Leonard Baskin now through January 9, 2011. 50 works will be on display with intriguing titles like ”Death Among The Thistles”. Baskin had a quite a resume: Undergrad degree from Yale, Professor of art at Smith and Hampshire Colleges, Guggenheim Fellowship. He’s considered an important American artist with regards to his impact on the art world of the 50’s.

I set a Tock for the end date so that you know how many days you have left to see the exhibit:

Enjoy and remember to bundle up – its cold out there. Get yourself some pumpkin spice cider - Thanks Giving is just around the corner.
