Rio De Janeiro Beats Out Chicago For 2016 Summer Olympics

Turns out the IOC just doesn't appreciate The Windy City like most of us would. Despite tireless pleas from President Barack Obama, Rio De Janeiro was awarded the 2016 Summer Olympics over Chicago. This makes it the first South Rio_OlympicsAmerican city ever awarded the games and sends Chicago and other would-be Olympic hosts back to the drawing board to try and woo the X-Games instead. Too bad for those of us that would have made the trek to Illinois to watch all of the events that are worth the four-year wait to see like gymnastics and basketball and the other events. Even worse for the rest of the world that might not ever taste deep-dish pizza like the ones you can find in Chicago. Don't make a bad decision like the International Olympic Committee made when they skipped out on the U.S. and choose Starving Students when you move.
